Well written as always Jan and thanks for the shout-out. Although I need to change my handle. When I first joined I didn't think I'd be posting like I do, need to make it a little more personal. Is there a way that I can change it without having to create a new account?

Also. I think winning last night and the lines not really working that well allows AV to tinker some more. Maybe its enough to keep the Kings off-balance some. I do think its time for Richards to vacate the point, the Kings are going to score shorthanded sooner or later when he is out there. Nash still has a chance at redemption, Friday is that time for him, we keep saying it, it has to happen!!

The players and media has used it and over-used it for sure.

The Rangers were 1-1 going into the third period against Boston in game 5 last season until we got "Hamrlik'd". The Rangers were very close to forcing a game 6, I really expect this to be a coin toss going into the 3rd tomorrow night.

The one thing I love is the Rangers really seem to rise to the occasion when their backs are against the wall. You can never write them off

Yes, Jason and I actually have a clause in our contracts that we get paid residuals based on the number of times we use it in a blog . My use was more tongue-in-cheek since it has become the cliche' of these playoffs

I'm just thrilled it changed its course for one game. We deserve it for at least 2 more

winning 1 out of the first 4 games in the Cup Final is not "rising" to the occasion.

Just get the one on Friday. I still think the pressure is more on the Rangers, Kings are home, they really don't have that much pressure on them One more Rangers win then you can certainly start discussing the Kings under pressure. Now, both of these teams play better when the pressure is really on them, a game 6 at MSG with that much at stake featuring two teams that have guts would be off the charts!! Tomorrow night baby!!

He is talking about the team's recent history with their backs up against the wall. They have won their last 8 at home while facing elimination and Lundqvist's overall record is 11-2, with a 1.30 GAA and a .959 save %.

at home, 8-0 with a .098 GAA and and sv pct of .968. Thats what he means. And yes, they earned another game, thats one more chance to inch closer, so that is rising to the occasion, they could have just quit like many teams do in that situation.

There has been a lot of weird stuff in this series so far.

Refs calling everything and then nothing.

Quick in game 3, Hank in game 4.

Honestly Rangers fans; how did that 3rd period feel last night? That had to be stressful. I thought it was great and really felt like the Kings were going to tie it up.

I'm not going to complain about anything because sometimes that's just the way things go.

See you Friday night!

Edit to add: Willie Mitchell apparently doesn't like the looks he's getting from Rangers players because he seems to feel the need to smack someone in the face with his stick at least twice per game.

Its something the Rangers have been used to, I think in an odd and perverse way they feel comfortable under siege like that.
