Most likely either Schenn or Grossmann. Coburn has the highest individual trade value but is not easily replaceable right now.

Inquring about the other Schenn. Do you believe he ultimately signs a bridge contract or a one year prove it deal? IMO, I kind of believe the latter will occur.

This buys the guys in the system another year to develop. As you mentioned the blue line still isn't great, so they will need to commit to team d. For me their biggest issue last year was consistency. When they skated and played as a team they were a good club capable of beating any team out there. Problem was they tended to lack focus and not commit to doing that. So how does that get changed?

A few days ago I said lets see Timonen sign a contract for 2 million. He did just that. Hard not to like the deal from a Flyers prospective. Timonen is a loyal guy, he could have signed with a contending team.

I would love this team to pursue Myers because we definitely need another top 4 guy.
Timo will be solid playing a lot less minutes. I am hoping one of the reasons Hexy was able to getTimo back was the promise of less minutes for him and another nice upgrade to the D core via trade

2 questions.

Why are we going after Myers? Dumb, in my opinion. He's vastly underachieved, is expensive, and is on the rung above bust status.

Secondly, why would Timonen be getting top pair minutes?

What's it gonna take to get Myers. He had a wonderful rookie season but hasn't done much since then.

Probably something like Brayden Schenn and 2 firsts, but I'm not the Sabres GM.

Trading for the defenseman they need, realistically, is not worth the price for this team.

Homer really screwed up on that move, and his money will be very important in moving forward towards getting a top 4 D man to play with Coburn, AMac, & Streit.

Id actuallly rather keep schenn than grosmann. He's younger, more mobile, has better hands, and makes a better first pass.

His first 2 seasons were great. He has played on one of the worst teams in the NHL over the last couple years. A change of scenery with the opportunity to play with a good PP unit will increase his numbers and just the fact he would be playing with a much better team this guy ( only 24) all round game will be solid

Well, there were many times in the ranger series he looked like he didn't belong on the ice, and I'm sure he'll get the 4 mil one way or another

Of the Buffalo defensemen, I would much rather pursue Ehrhoff over Myers. He would bring way more to our d corps and would be MUCH cheaper to obtain.
