The Pens don't want/need him either.

We will gladly pursue Chad Johnson.... however Brodeur can stay as far away from the Pens as possible. I would not want any part of his game.

He'd do ok in Boston with their solid defense in front of him, but idk why you'd start him over Chad Johnson..

Mac T should be calling...even their scraps would upgrade the Oilers at this point.

sad what a waste of space and time that Caron turned out to be, bigger shame they couldn't have even traded him for a late rounder or something....

Unless Broduer is gonna sign for less than Svedberg, there is absolutely no point in doing it. What is he thinking anyway, his game isn't anywhere what it was, he has his name on the cup, just retire with a shred of dignity.

Hey Chia,

HOW ABOUT A SCORING WINGER THAT ISN'T WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY PAST HIS PRIME?!!

Or here's a thought, stop handing out candy contracts to players that have no business making that amount of money. Lucic, Kelly, Campbell?

(frank)ing Broduer. I will start a race riot if this happens!!

Trade Kelly, trade Campbell, Trade McQuaid.... Listen to offers for Lucic.

Then you have the Cap Space and some nice players coming up

Brodeur ... No effing way does that happen..... I hope....

I would buyout Campbell. With Kelly, they're boned. That contract is putrid. McQuaid is probably tradable...but I'm sure GMs would be leery of his injury history.

I don't want Lucic off this team but that contract is insane. He hits 25G + 5ENs once and you give him 6 million?! It was an early extension too.

ya they paniced on Lucic... Hardto gague him as there are not really any other players like him in the league at all...

Agree with buying out Soupy, and I kow Kells is almost impossible, 3M for him is tough to swallow, esp with his Modified NMC...

I think a GM will give a 4th rder or so for McQuaid, worth the gamble for teams needing defensive depth

they paid looch for the player they thought he would turn into...
hasnt happened yet.
i doubt his next contract will be 6 mill per, .. .unless he steps it up. got no problem trading quader too, Miller has effectively replaced him. Id consider trying to move Ericson too, they have to do something.

Sorry, Pens don't want the cap hit for a backup/split time starter either. Love him, but if he seriously tries to get a starting position this year, hes the Brett Farve of Hockey.

It's a comparable though. Caron is not an NHL player. He'll do fine in AHL..so yeah Bourque, Whitfield, Sauve, Hamill. Caron is on that level.
