Zack Stortini? Really? The guy couldn't beat his way out of a paper bag (or Riley Cote). For a guy who's #1 role is to be an enforcer, he's horrible at it. |

Now that's how you cover the Giroux incident. To the point and not over belabored to the point where there needs to be a "sit down" Well done Bill |

Will he be horrible at it at the AHL level?

I'm pretty sure his role will be to keep players honest around the kids on the Phantoms. Ghost, Hagg, etc etc. He will never see the light of day in an NHL arena.

Not thrilled with the enforcer thing but also understand with a lot of our prospects on the farm. Plus AHL has a lot more fights then NHL because of guys trying to prove themself. Rather Stortini stepping in then one of our prospects. |

You're left wondering if Giroux is TRYING to get traded. He obviously knows what this franchise does when players party too much. They trade them to Stanley Cup contenders. |

I'm practicing . Right now, my daughter is 15 months old and the worst thing she does is throws a fit because she wants her Bubble Guppies toy or Care Bear and you need to wash her face or hands.

Bill, I feel the exact same way about the Giroux issue. Also, he should be very thankful he did not do that to a female officer. That would have been very bad for him and the organization.
I hope he talks about what happened and just says how dumb it was. He can then move on and prepare himself for all of the "razzing" he will receive. I doubt the Flyers allow him to "own" it though. |

Yeah, not much of a fighter, despite how often he's forced to do it.
He's not a terrible hockey player, though... more Shawn Thornton than Jay Rosehill.

As silly as this is, I am interested to see how the Flyers handle this, from a PR/media perspective. Right or wrong, it got splashed on the back pages of the local rags and people are talking about it. Are they going to make Giroux available to the media to answer questions right away or do you think they are hoping it just dies?
I do doubt, however, that they want Giroux answering questions from reporters (especially local ones) about this incident during the season. |

Mine does. She drags her Funshine Bear around everywhere she goes and hugs it. It's actually rather adorable.

Beyond that, I don't think there is much else to say. Quite frankly, the story has already been over-covered elsewhere and I do not plan to write further on it unless there is a real reason to bring it up again.
Oh don't worry, Bill. Pinotch beat the dead horse yet again... so it's covered. |

I miss 15 months. My first is almost 3. She goes from angel to demon in 1.3 seconds. |

They should put him in the stocks... and spank him, in public. That will solve everything, and is not in any way, the most ridiculous thing I could think of in the last 60 seconds. |

Bill, sounds like she needs a sit down. Real soon, or it'll get out of control. If you need a counselor, I know a guy named Tim who seems to have a real grasp of these kinds of problems. |

Why would anyone be miffed at this signing? Doesn't make sense.

I think he releases an apology without answering questions. Then they let it die until training camp where our media will bring it back up and try and beat him with it. I hope he starts thinking of mature ways to respond to the hyenas. |
