Good blog Carol, I can't see Edler being traded at this point considering that Linden and Benning have been pumping him up and that the Canucks have no other offensive guys at the back end. No offensive to Bieksa who at times can bring some great rushes, he doesn't have the same talent as Edler. |

Tanev has the best rush potential on the D by far. He'll shine if given the freedom. |

That video is high-larious.
I gave Dalpe zero chance at cracking the Sabres. Not because we have a great roster - far, far from it - but due to numbers.
Can the kid actually play? |

@BradZiemer: Vey's agent, Tim Hodgson, tried for one-way deal, but notes that Vey would have to clear waivers to be sent to minors. #Canucks
Does anyone know if he will still have to clear waivers to get sent down on a 2 way deal? |

It means they don't have to be worried about being sent down seeing Canucks would lose him. He is going nowhere |

Smart signing of a 2-way on the Canucks Management's part; keeps him motivated knowing that he doesn't have a guaranteed spot in the line up. |

He is, that's why he's not too sure that he could be an impact d. |

2-Way deal has zero influence on waiver eligibility, only means lesser pay if the player is in the AHL. One-way deals guarantee an NHL salary even in the AHL. He would have to clear waivers so he's basically a lock for the opening roster. Will still have to compete for a spot in the top 9 though. |

Benning will get ripped if they waive him after camp and he gets claimed, Benning basically traded Garrison for him.
This is the same fanbase that wanted MG's head when he waived Aaron (frank)ing Volpatti so there's no way Vey doesn't make this team, it's his job to lose. |

He won't be sent down, that is why the agent didn't care that it was a two way deal - VANTEL
I'm with you, couldn't see it happening either, the discussion reminded me of crap on 1040 about basketball and their theory that rookies on the Cavs would train harder knowing Lebron would be there next season. Like all of a sudden there is a reason for them to work hard since they have been drafted, blah blah blah. Just sounded like they were filling air time. Relating their knowledge of other sports with the NBA, but not necessarily using relevant examples. |
