That is the second report saying Gaunce is looking good. 3 rd line and 4 th line LW could be an opening. |

Going to be a change this year with multiple young prospects trying to break into the Canucks Roster. We could actually see a few guys here next year. Always a chance that the only younger guy to make it will be Vey though... |

1st line: Really don't believe that 1st line is viable 5 on 5. PP1 only.
2nd line: needs a proven finisher. Switch Kassian up for Vrbata.
3rd line: Ouch... Fox isn't ready IMO. Vey has nothing to work with & would be set up to fail on that line IMO.
4th line: I'd be okay with that in theory but would MUCH rather Gaunce get more mins & play his own position in the AHL. |

I am not happy about the Vrbata signing though I understand he was the BPA and we had money to spend? he accepted the offer because he was told by Benning he would play with the twins.
I know GMs lie but I think Benning will take a hard look at him with the twins.
I don't think Fox or Shink are ready either but I am not sure I wouldn't want to watch those two over Burrows Higgins.I heard earlier this week that Gaunce has looked like the best prospect out there and may win third line duties. |

I think that once again people are jumping the gun with respect to this falovour-of-the-week Fox kid. To assume that he might challenge for an actual final roster spot is a bit wishful thinking.
He's definitely not top 6 material and we have way too many better bottom 6 forwards/players who will bump him out. Me thinks its AHL time for Fox |

It's a good league. Free potatoes and all the cabbage you can scrounge. Fun 'Siberian Hits' karaoke nights at the local bar on Thursday, followed by Soviet Union has Talent (gameshow for farmers vying to be owners of the biggest turnips)And the laaaaaydayyyyyys.....errr I mean borscht bunnies.... come on.... we're talking a veritable Sodom and Gomorrah |

Yup, most impact young players usually produce near or at around a PPG clip rate in the AHL before stepping into the NHL and producing. |

He did score 63 goals last year as an overages junior, but 63 goals is still 63 goals. No one is claiming he is the next Stamkos but he is shinning at prospect camp. That may translate into a 20 goal guy or it may be nothing. Let the cards play out. No one is drooling yet. |

i could see that being the canucks lineup come February/March. Shink, Fox, Gaunce could all benefit from big minutes on the farm. Maybe by then Higgins and burrows will have upped their trade value by then too! |
