I wish they could afford to tear that building down. Hate it for so many reasons... Possibly more than they skyway. - nfph
Totally agree that is one ugly building and nice job by the local newscast wherever it originated on dragging out the slug as the sabres logo

I say Pegula ends up buying the building, tears it down. And develops the land. |

I think they could use the building because its in great shape inside and is built like a brick poophouse. I would turn it into mix use with condo's and offices. Put a new exoskeleton on the building, make it look similar to the new Phylips lyltle building and Harborcenter, add some upper from patio spaces and such. Boom, not ugly. Just need a few hundred mil to make it happen. |

Few hundred million could tear it down and replace it with something much smaller that's not a giant freaking wall separating downtown from the waterfront.
I honestly could care less about stories 4 and above. My beef is it's this composite sandstone wall on the first 2 stories that cuts off Main street - you have to walk underneath it through a tunnel to get to the waterfront - there are no windows at street level - it's literally a wall.
I'm not sure if they could really retrofit it to help, and I'm definitely sure they couldn't help the fact that it sits on the street.
