60 players in training camp to pick from. The so called regulars better step it up. Some of the kids might play better.

Wouldn't expect anything less, at his age and 1 year left on his contract, he's playing for himself, not for the good of this teams future.

I think the upside for Foligno is third line, 15g and 20 assists with possibly a little PK or 2nd power play unit (in front of the net). Ennis was the key to that line with him and Stafford and it would be interesting to see a line of Stewart/Ennis/Stafford. Potentially, Steward and Stafford could both put in 30 goals each...

Why should he start apoligizing now. He's been a disappointment for years and hasnot done anything except Count DuMonet.

For the record I'm not a pile on hater of Stafford. Its not his fault the last GM overpaid everyone and set their expectations to high.

Stafford is what he is, a 18-25 goal scorer who should never be your best RW.

This.

I really wouldn't be shocked to see him with a letter this season maybe even the C

Whats wrong with that? He didn't chose the role it was thrust upon him. Poor leadership.

Nothing IMO. I don't see the need to push him out the door, but I understand why people would want to. He's a pretty frustrating player.

Honestly, he'd be one of the better 3rd line wingers in the league IMO

I think he is a decent 2nd line winger. I understand why people have had enough but what I saw last season under Nolan is a Drew Stafford I would like to have on my team.

So Foligno's a center and Hodgson's a winger now? How long have these guys played these positions? Honest question.

I'm not sure anymore. We don't have a ton of wingers that are ready to step up as soon as next year. I could see it either way

A few games each last year. Seemed to work pretty well, too. This is most likely where they fall in the line up to start this year at the very least. Hodgson produced pretty well at wing and wasn't as much of a defensive issue and Foligno was decent on draws and more responsible defensively...if you can even say that about any player on this team last year.

I don't think any of us are sure how that will work out. There are many questions surrounding Foligno's staying ability as it is.
