Colin Dambrauskas: Sam "Don't Send Me Down" Bennett - Colin Dambrauskas
If he plays like he did last night 5 more times, he'll get some NHL games to start the season. You can't send down a guy who is the best forward on your team right now. It sends a bad message. |

I liked Agostino's game and Bill Arnold was a faceoff winning machine as well as Bennett standing out on the positive. Sven was ok to |

agreed...size doesn't really matter if he's still your best player
means the size isn't factoring into the game if he's dominating...plus not like he's a tiny guy, lots of players are shorter and smaller/lighter
If he ends up being less than stellar in the upcoming games, I don't mind sending him down...you just can't do it if he's showing he can play lights out at the NHL level like last night, but against full competition when regular season starts |

Setoguchi will be on waivers at the start of the season. He sucked last night. Worst thing I saw from him, was after a messed up scoring play, he stopped, looked up in frustration and stood there while the play went the other way (you wouldn't have seen it unless you were at the game tracking the players). Then he skated to the bench to change.
That won't fly with Hartley. |

NOT the leadership you want for the young players. |

didn't see the game last night, but noticed bennetts skills in one of that rookie tourney games. just looks so dynamic.
the oilers really didn't have a lot of choice but to go with draisaitl's size and skill set, but im sure the flames got a beauty in Bennett.
i think both teams got the player that they needed |

i don't think size is really an issue with him. he was pushing people around last night, so he's physically able.

Agree, I think Agostino and Ferland have real shots to make the opening lineup based on the style they'll be playing. Agostino looked really creative.
Cundari has a nasty streak, I like his game too. |

Markstrom was put on waivers by Van. Id love to pick him up but we would send him down as well. Great trade by Gillis |

I thought Sven looked good out there too. Good with the puck, and good away from it too. |

there is also a big difference on how hard it is to push sven off the puck compared to last years. he even picked a couple pockets last night witch i dont remember seeing him do last year. |

problem was; all of our best players were relatively small.
when perron is your 'push back' in the top 6, you're certainly lacking something. |
