That was weak performance. Rask was in shape but otherwise.. Detroit was better than i expected but partly because of Bruins.

Ty, any word on Bergeron? I know he finished the game but any other reports or delayed effects?

This team would be hosed without him.

On the Wings TV they seemed to think it was a leg issue (they showed a hit were his legs went in some pretty awkward positions), I don't think they mentioned the quiet room at all. Didn't Franzen get an elbowing penalty off of a hit on Bergeron late in the third? Didn't look like a major elbow or anything, and he stayed he in the game on the powerplay. If he was already in the quiet room in the 2nd period I would have been worried about it if I were the Bruins though.

The Wings were skating okay in the first, but they were really off. They looked jumpy, rushing plays, bad passes, etc. They started to click more in the second and the Bruins just kind of stood around and watched. The Bruins pushed back a bit in the third but they just couldn't get out of their own way. Chara might get away with knocking another players stick away but you can't do that to the goalies stick and think he's going to let you get away with it.

Good first game for the Wings. Lots and lots of room for improvement but the effort was there and their were more flashes of good play than moronic plays (looking at you Ericksson).
