Jason Lewis: Key to Success? The Kings Breakouts. - Jason_Lewis
Richards – Kopitar – Williams
Pearson – Carter – Toffoli
King – Stoll – Brown
Clifford – Andreoff – Nolan
McNabb – Doughty
Regehr – Voynov
Martinez – Greene
Quick
Jones
Morning line rushes with Gaborik out and Andreaoff in 😱
We all knew Gabo wouldn't play 82 games. Hopefully it's just a nagging injury. |

Yup, muscle injury suffered in training camp.
Might explain a bit why the first line hasn't quite looked right yet. |

I thin I'd rather have Ricky and Dwight switch... but oh well, let's the drop the biscuit already!!! |

I read on my Yahoo fantasy league that Quick will get less starts this year(around 55 games) because of his surgery and Jones will play a good deal of games. Is this true? |

Hard to tell. Sutter plays the cards pretty tight to the vest with his goalies. |

I like your first line, I want to see Richards given a chance to show something. That is some skill right there with Williams and Kopi. I hope Gaborik comes back soon but until then I would love to see this line gel and kick some back side.
question: is this "the lineup" or is this just your line up? |

Me too I hate seeing Richards on the 4th line. It irritates me seeing King higher than him.
This was morning line rushes. Most likely the lineup. |

This is what he's been wanting, it will be interesting watching him tonight if he's on the first line. I would expect just a bit more jump in his step |

you would rather see Richards and Dwight switch?........you typed "Ricky and Dwight switch" so not sure if thats what you meant but after this off season I would think most Kings fans want to see Richards take advantage of this opportunity. King and richards are swappable maybe with last years Richards but if richards plays any where close to his capabilities he should always be playing ahead of King. Just my opinion |

Yeah, he better play HIS game.
We need him to show up; especially with this opportunity and it also will help his case in getting the trust back with the front office, coaches, and the fans. |

IMO i see Richards as trailing the play on that lines shifts. I hope I'm wrong and he doesn't have some extra pep in his step, but I don't see that pep coming back. He's just not the same guy or even that guys' shadow. I think DKing played well with Kopi the few times he's been asked to. |

He had one crappy season, which he acknowledged, and worked extra hard in the off-season. He was one of the better players on the ice for the Kings in that half-ass effort against the Sharks. If he plays another 20-30 games like he did last season, then you can begin to question if this is a permanent dropoff. Until then, give the guy a break. |

He's been here for 3 seasons now. Only the lock out season was solid. First and last seasons are decent. Hes suppost to produce way more.
Its hard to want to see him get a good shot with ice time now. Because we now have superior players. Id rather Play Gabby, Williams, Kopi, Pearson, Toffoli and brown more than him. He doesnt seem to fit well with any of our bottom six. We should be trying to trade him or of bought him out. Loyalty is perhaps going to bite us in the butt.
Its also obvious that LA didnt envision Toffoli and Pearson making impacts so quickly. That really hurt him here. |

Yea, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on his first season with the Kings. He got 18 goals, was 4th on the team in points, and was also a staple on the PK, netting a league-leading 4 shorthanded goals. In the playoffs, he was even better, scoring 15 points in 20 games. Without him, the Kings don't win the Cup.
We both agree he was great in the lockout shortened season, meaning he has had exactly one bad season. I'm not ready to write him off yet. |
