That's been a concern for years and will undoubtedly hurt us in the playoffs if we make it that far. They're not getting any younger.

Hence the more reason why I'm excited to see the bottom 3 lines emerging as actual scoring options for once. Still, I don't think they're good enough to produce over a playoff series against some of the better teams in the league.

Big reason in the past they haven't produced (playoffs) is we've only had one scoring line, them, easy to check one line. Now we seem to be flush with the second to fourth lines? 53 GF is third in the league I believe?

Whats the deal with Vrbata? Will he be back in the lineup after a restful weekend coming up?

There hasn't been much news on any of them, Is Kassian out for awhile too? Last I heard he had to get an MRI.

Yeah, while it's been nice to win and score without Vrbata/Kassian, with them out along with a great 4th liner like Dorsett, the "roll 4 lines" strategy has gone out the window since WD doesn't trust Horvat/Jensen yet.

I have to say this team has exceeded any expectations I had for them in the first quarter of the season. I'm still a bit worried about the resiliency of some of the older players over the long-haul, but overall I'm really impressed with how they've come together so quickly.

First place. It is hard to get too excited seeing 40 plus years of having the carpet filled from under us leaves me with fragile trust.

But a nice hot streak to start the season and getting those extra points in OT/SO and pulling out wins in 1 goal games is the difference so far, otherwise they'd be right where most of us expected(middle of the pack).

To argue your point Carol , when HANSEN was winning battles and hitting with some big checks people didn't really care about his scoring.BTW he did have I think 16 goals that year.

Now he is doing very little of all of that. I really believe since he has become a father , he plays with less reckless abandon and hesitates more now.
