Yeah I've been getting tired of hearing "process" from Mr. Eakins. It was actually nice to see him own the win/loss column after a recent defeat.

Your blog is indeed timely after what we saw in Nashville coming off one of their best efforts of the year in New York.

I personally think the Oilers have not improved much if at all. Our schedule has been ridiculously easy and is smoke screening the fact that any decent team can dominate us when they want/need to.

I find it sort of peculiar that the anti-advanced stat crowd who lob wave after wave of "watch the game, nerd!" at Corsi junkies will often do analyses like this and conclude we've made little to no improvement.

That's certainly not what we've seen in terms of our style of play. Many facets of our play are better, and some are worse, but mostly different seasons against different opponents with different rosters will be different. And I don't think you can say much conclusive about how much better or worse we are.
