What? Why would San Jose do that?
Umberger could be useful...if Dougie needs a paperweight for his desk. |

The problem is i don't think ownership would know where to go if they fired Dougie who to replace him with. Todd's gotta go before this season is lost he's running this team into the ground he's lost faith inthe players & the players have lost faith in him, there' s no direction with this team & it's quite disturbing. |

Write this season off, fire TM in the offseason and do everything possible to bring Babcock out to SJ |

By the same token, I don't think DW has many good experienced coaching options waiting to take over an NHL team.
Other than Mike Babcock on the Red Wings and Claude Julien on the Bruins, no coach has a longer tenure than McLellan does (6 years). Only 6 head coaches have had their job for more than 3 years. By league standards at least it is probably time for a change.
Here's a name you probably haven't heard in a while: Larry Robinson. Here was a guy who was supposed to help fix our culture problem and shore up McLellan's shortcomings. Instead he attributed to the biggest disaster and subsequent media fiasco in franchise history. |

Tim Chiasson: Winds of Change
The San Jose Sharks ownership needs to step in and evaluate its staff, and hand an ultimatum to GM Doug Wilson. - Tim Chiasson
Finally a story I agree with too some extent, still don't think we have a top 10 player roster in the league especially on d and in G.

I would do this deal in a second a 20+ goal scorer in Read, for a player who's never scored 20 goals in any one season at any level. I would do this deal a 100 of 100 times.

Here we go again with the not many experienced coaches out their. 60+ current NHL assistant coaches no experienced ones. How experienced was Todd McClueless when he took over? How experienced was Babcock in his first season, or Bowman. This is just plain dumb. And while I like Robinson, he has stated he does not want the HC Job, and his tutoring of the Dmen hasn't been exactly an overwhelming success. Demers = regressed, Braun = Not better Burns = Terrible on D. Who's improved significantly under Robinson |

I'm sure Coach McClueless, as you so eloquently put it, knows the difference between "their" & "there"...

Maybe, maybe not, why don't you ask him? You might be surprised? Just because someone is not a grammer expert doesn't mean they aren't right. And if you don't know for a fact that McClueless knows the difference between "their and there" don't just assume he does.

The question is why would Philly do this. I am not a Flyers fan but Read is a very good two way player that contributes offence. And to throw Umberger and a better pick. Too funny |

Did I say "unless you have experience you're going to be a terrible head coach"? Give your head a shake man
Just for curiosity's sake, do you have a list of a few guys you would recommend we hire?

Agreed on Robinson. The guy was incredibly over-hyped when we got him. I can't really say he has helped this organization at all.

Wingels is light years better than Read, and that's not a knock on Read. Umberger is a heap of garbage, and a somewhat expensive one that's signed for two more seasons after this one. I don't think adding in Umberger and swapping 2nd/3rd rounders is nearly enough to get Wingels out of SJ. |

LOL! Light years better? Are you part of the Tommy Wingels family or fan club, because talking about over hyped that is Wingels. A supposed top six forward with no scoring touch. LOL! I would take Read straight up 100 out of 100 times. Even Umberger and his large contract is better then Wingels offensively.
