missed last nights game which apparently was a good thing. Taking the weekend to shop at Home Depot in Grande Prairie.
Any news/rumors for the Oil? |

Rishaug was saying Petry was on the 2nd PP unit and we should expect Nikitin to be benched. |

The terrible terrible site ate my comment so here it goes again.
Schultz is an okay defenseman who deserves sheltering. He's less talented than some of the other kids we've had, and he gets far far less sheltering than they ever did.
So trade him if we must, but I wouldn't blame him when he gets quite predictably exposed.
And know that the real reason we're trading him would be that we never get to see a sheltered, adequately paid Justin Schultz. Apparently if he's here, he's getting 24 minutes a night and on track to get 5 million a year. That's on coaching and management for overrating him. |

Good blog sir, I always read them when I get the chance.
I just want to see this team win again. The more competitive hockey that comes out of Alberta the better in my opinion. I can't talk about hockey with friends who are Oiler fans right now because they get depressed and quiet, and as much as I like the Flames, I like the sport even more. |

If given the chance he might even develop but I don't get why they won't cut his ice-time. Some players have to earn their time while some guys have to completely ruin a game season before they get benched. |

I have to create a Christmas card for work, to send out to clients/business partners... Should I go with...
"Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
or
"Happy Holidays!"

There is a rumour that the Oilers will be a good team one day, but it hasn't been confirmed (E2). |

You might want to check your sources. This rumor holds as much water as an Eklund rumor. |

Yeah... I noticed that in the past, we've always done "Merry Christmas," but I think I'll do multiple versions to show the boss... I'm thinking she'll probably go with "Happy Holidays" though. |

I hate getting Happy Holiday cards. If we can't all get on board with our "Hallmark" Holidays then what is the point of having them? |

That's part of it but (frank) me. Hey if I say (frank) it and jump poop to a better team, like the Maple Leafs, can I still post here ( cuz I like you guys) or will I be trolling? |

I can't figure this organization out, it's all right there in front of them in terms of what needs to be done but no one will do it |

I'm not listening to that Jack ass and his excuses. When was the last time Hall, Nuge, Ebs or Schultz got called out by that (frank) face? - Jeropotato
He just defended Schultzs poor pinch last night calling it an honest mistake and he wasn't upset about it.
Time to get rid of this (frank)tard and bring in a human being. |

Agree with your observations. It is getting to be so difficult to watch these games.
Can't believe Eakins is still coaching---he's clearly in over his head.
With Pouliot out, they've got no sizeable winger on the top 2 lines, except Hall. If they put Purcell up there, well, he's playing soft and on the perimeter, so he'll be no help. Tampa was happy to get rid of him.
The only chance we have to win games is if the opponent takes a night off and plays the backup G. Somethings got to give. Oiler Fans can only take so much.
