Nylander isn't going to be moved by the Leafs.
Not for Yandle.
I think Yandle could bring a great return, but if the asking price is Nylander, the Leafs won't do it.

This may sound crazy and probably unlikely because they are in the same conference, but I think the Wild and Yotes could be good trading partners for each other.
To the yotes:
Spurgeon (who will replace some of Yandle's offence)
Coyle
2nd round pick
To the Wild:
Hanzel or Boedker |

James-- I don't watch too much of Coyotes games, I've watched a few this year. OEL is impressive. I think he is a top tier two-way defenseman. I see the same talent in him, as I see in Duncan Keith and Drew Doughty. I think those three are practically identical players. Only difference is, OEL doesn't play for a powerhouse team, therefor, of course the NHL, and NHL.com give him ZERO recognition.
As far as yandle goes, I know he's a big name, but of all the games I've watched, he hasn't looked all that impressive in his own end. When I was watching, was he just having an off night, or is he strictly an offensive minded d man? He moves the puck very well and makes clean, crisp passes, and I do like watching that in a defenseman. |

I don't see why not. The Leafs are going nowhere unless they get a top-pairing Dman, they've already wasted enough of Kessel's prime and what else have they got to trade to get that Dman they need? |

I'd do that deal for Hanzal, not sure the MN would though. |

I agree about OEL, while maybe his ascension has stalled out a bit this year (or been hidden by all the garbage) he is well on his way to being every bit as good as guys like Doughty and Keith.
As for Yandle, he's a high risk guy and so he occasionally makes a glaring error, but while those stand out, the math says he's one of the best players in hockey at driving the play and making his teammates better. I'd say his defensive game is much better than he gets credit for.

I've been told Leafs management don't care about winning so unfortunately, no deal. |

Keith Yandle On the Move? - James_Tanner
I would happily give up Yakupov, Yakimov, Schultz and a 2nd rounder for Yandle and Hanzal. I would under stand you felt the need to tell me to (frank) off tho. |

Do the world a favour and stop writing about hockey. You know absolutley nothing about the sport!!! Gardiner and Nylander for Yandle??? you are so delusional it's not even funny...you actually need to go see someone.
no team....not a single 1 would trade their 1st round draft pick for Yandle, not that he;s not good...he's very good. But Cap space is a major issue with most teams. The teams that have the cap room, are in rebuilding mode and have little use for a 28 or 29 year old D man that makes over 5 million a season.
If the leafs and Yotes make a deal it wil be for Lupul and Franson for Yandle. thats about as realisic as a deal that would happen, and about Cap reality.

Again the garbage continues, there is nobody on the Leafs on the Leafs other than chubby Kessel that would be worth trading Yandle for..including the guy with the 24 wife |

so the Avs don't need a LHS puck moving D? |

I don't think there is any denying that Yandle is a really good Dman and 29 other teams would love to have him. That being said I'm not sure I can get on board with your determination that he would get 8million/yr when he becomes ufa....sorry I just don't see that happening.
I don't see the Leafs parting with Nylander. He is a great prospect and with the constant talk of Kadri being a trading piece for TML, it makes holding onto Nylander that much more important.
As for Gardiner...all I'll say is he is not a future Yandle. IF he was, why would the Leafs move him for 1 1/2 seasons of Yandle? |

Understood regarding teams cap concerns. But you are nuts if you think a pending UFA in Franson and an oft-injured winger in Lupul is going to net you Yandle
