Yep, I think we're averaging 2.2 goals per game. If you account for the fact the PP is pretty good with OEL/Yandle and gang, then our 5on5 play would certainly put us bottom 2 in the league I think.

But with the likes of Chips/Moss/McMillan/Erat/Crombeen/Korpi hanging onto spots above their pay grade, well it is no wonder.

I enjoy watching Yandle/OEL/Boedker/Rieder/Doan/Hanzal...that is about it. The reason the defense has been bad is because the offense is so putrid that the puck is 70% of the time in the Coyotes D-zone. And since Smith has completely forgotten how to stop pucks, well we're on a spiral staircase to the basement. Hope the Oilers leave the lights on for us.

That's a pretty good summation. Worse too is the Coyotes have 4 or 5 games where they scored 5 goals or more. If you take those away, the rest of the games are a joke. I wouldn't mind watching a losing team if they played more kids, or if the coach mixed things up. Like, Gagner on the third line, that helps no one. Erat sucks horribly and never misses a shift, Reider never gets on the PP, OEl and Yandle never play together......its frustrating....

That's a hard pass.

I'm thinking more Nyquist and Mantha.

Who would you want from the Ducks, James? I'm thinking one of Karlsson or Rackell. One of Etem, Silfverberg, or Maroon. And one of Fistric or maybe Lovejoy. They might even include Vatanan, too. What do ya think?

Hey, check it out...

A Coyotes fan commented on one of JT's blogs.

Now if he tells 2 friends, and they tell 2 friends, and so on, and so on...

Don't be a stranger Sindiggy, Mr Tanner could use the back-up from time to time.

It really isn't. How many top pairing D are available? What is the hardest to fill and most important position to get? An elite offensive defenseman is arguably the most important position on a team. Some will say Top Centre or goalie, but arguably means its not ridiculous.

Given all that, why wouldn't the Coyotes ask huge for Yandle?
