I especially liked the Matt Carle one... and yeah.. the Kuch-Johnson-Palat line is easily one of, if not the best lines in hockey right now. |

LOL @ Carle. So true. Although it seems like Sustr and Garrison might need to join him too. I really think we are a better team with Barberio in the lineup and Sustr out. If only we could clone Stralman about 6 times.... |

He is the blogger that gets the most poop for no good reason, I feel bad for him. No one gets it as bad as tanner, although mike gets poop quite often too, not recently though |

Weird thought... been watching all season, only missed a couple of games.
There's no doubt Stammer is one of the best goal scorers in the league... but watching the triplets line, and seeing what we have coming down the pipeline for prospects (also, Drouin).... here's a question.... is Stamkos expendable? What could he fetch in a trade?
Not advocating it, just asking the question. |

The first part, fine. The second part had zero to do with the question. Not trying to be a Richard, but it was a specific question of pure postulation... don't ruin it by bringing logic and reality into the narrative ! |

Better to trade him and get something for him before he goes where every player wants to go. Toronto. Couldnt even write this with a straight face. |

Hah! Awesome.
I never thought I'd see the day where I actually thought Stammer might be expendable. Again, I'm not declaring him a "bum" or a bad fit for the team, but this season (and really, even last season having the year basically without him) has shown me that the current incarnation of the Bolts is something that is very new for a TBL team- it's a complete team. Watching Connolly skate alongside Stammer just makes me cringe.
Even more so, that Fillpula line with Cally and Killer is actually really good. Like, second-line good. Namestinkov is waiting on the wings to get back into the fray, Erne should take Morrow's spot next year and Paquette and Boyle seem to play well together when on a line with one another.
What about NYR? I would love Stepan and Kreider.
Toronto? Bozak, JVR +?
As and aside, I think Connolly has shown progress and might very well be a legit top-6 winger in another season... but I just don't feel that he fits the Bolts' playstyle at all.

Lets see what you say in a couple of seasons when Kuch, Palat, Johnson and others don't produce in the same pace. It happeneds to a lot of players. What make a superstar like Stamkos, Crosby, Malkin etc. is that you can count on them to produce 80-100 points EVERY season. That's priceless. I rather move Johnson and Palat over Stamkos. He brings a lot of leadership to. |

don't get me wrong, I like Stammers, but Johnson, in a year or so will be one of the best ALL zones player we have. You don't put Stamkos onto the ice on a PK, at least not like you do with Palat and Johnson. Stamkos is a pure point getter, but with Johnson you get someone you can rely on at EVERY POINT of the game. To me they're worth more. Johnson and Palat could turn into a discount Zetterberg and Datsuyk. |

The return would be ridiculous. Team might be better off in the end. |

I am in NO WAY advocating Stamkos' trade, but we have the depth to cover it AND yes the return would be awesome. |
