Michael Pachla: On the Tyler Myers to Detroit for Tomas Tatar-plus speculation
Detroit FREEP's St. James knows what the Sabres have in Myers, should know that those aren't the names Murray would be interested in. - Michael Pachla

oh my
nice read
seems like many Wings fans don't wanna give up anything for Myers, and many Sabres fans don't want to trade Myers. Holland, while seemingly a good GM, doesn't have the balls to make a huge trade, so I doubt anything comes out of this. |

Who says I didn't? You?
I have nothing to prove to anyone my friend. You either except what I say, or you don't. As I stated early on, I don't have to say anything, I'm just giving some insight is all.
And as for questioning my net worth as "an insider" as many call it. The proof is in the pudding, which has been tasted to a very small extent. |

Tatar + Jurco + DeKeyser + 1st in 2015 should get it done imo. Tatar isn't spectacular, but will be a pretty consistent 20-30 G guy for a long time, Jurco is perhaps the same and DeKeyser looks to be a solid 2nd pairing D. The 1st rounder gives them 4 this year, and they can use that package to either trade up to a top 2 position, or drop back for more 2nd/3rd rounders in this year or the next. Buffalo has a lot of holes to fill, so getting 3 solid players and a good draft pick makes sense. Meyers is good and still not in his prime, but BUF has pretty good D depth and if they get Dekeyser as well, I don't think the loss will be that much on the team...I think it would improve the team overall. |

Michael I have many complaints about your writting. It is well written and worth a read which slows down my work flow. I feel the need to read your articles from top to bottom, thus ruining my long history of skipping articles and going straight to blog. |

Maybe it's Holland burning up the phone lines, while Murray is the one hesitant on making the deal.

Mantha and Larkin may turn out to be good, but they are still unproven. BUF can draft good players this year of about equal skill, and also get 3 solid contributors for the 2nd line and 2nd pairing D. I don't see that 1 Mantha/Larkin would improve the team as much as Jurco+Tatar+Dekeyser+1st rounder would. Also, BUF can package say Stewart and picks for a guy like E Kane, who could fit well on the 1st line. |

I don't see a couple of 20-30 goal guys and a 2nd pairing D, all who are very young, as spare parts. The trade would improve the team by quite a bit I think...
I also don't see Larkin/Mantha as impact players - they may be, but are unproven. That would be a big risk imo... |

I don't want to trade Myers, but this trade proposal isn't bad, imo. |

Note to any hockey players out there...if a professional figure skater calls you out and challenges you to put figure skates on and go for a spin I have two words for you:
