I think he will be fine. Probably put him on the shelf until Jan. 27th. Let Hutton and whoever we call up from the Ads go vs. WSH/DET/MTL. That will give him 2 weeks off and no ASG.

That's not a bad plan. The actual play didn't look all that bad - it wasn't at a super fast rate of speed & the collision wasn't overly violent. But sometimes, it's those weird collisions that do the most damage.

I'm hopeful it's just a bruised quad or something like that. Hamstring or groin injuries can be really tough for goaltenders.

looked to me like Rinne got unintentionally speared on the inside of his leg just a bit. It wasn't like he went awkwardly in to the boards. Hoping he'll bounce back quickly. No ASG for him wouldn't bother me in the least.

Blues have a spare goalie. Be glad to trade you Brodeur for Forsberg and call it even.

He looked fine skating off even as if he might stay in the game. Shouldn't be too serious.

IF he's out for an extended time does anyone seeing the Preds making a play for Marty perhaps? Cheap alternative and could probably bridge the gap and be ok considering Nashvilles strong defensive system.

The contact on Rinne really looked like nothing, but if he had to leave the game you have to think somethings not right. Hope hes ok.

I wouldnt mind having Forsberg. Lets swap.

Honestly though, 5 goals last night was un lack like. He, in my opinion has been the better of our two goalies this year, albeit with alot less games.

I definitely wouldn't be giving you Forsberg but yeah I agree, Lack is better than what was shown last night. He also only had one bad goal given up, which was the forsberg one. Two others on powerplay, one was a 2 on one and the last was basically a breakaway for Fisher (lack shoulda had the poke check but was still a bad defensive breakdown.)

Plus, he owns the Blues. They can't seem to be able to beat that guy.

Keep him out of Nashville pleazzz.

I mean we can trade Kinkaid possibly for a good pick/prospect or two. How about it?

Looks to me like Rinne's knee bent awkwardly - hyper-extended or bent sideways just a tad - just before Volchenkov made contact. Can't tell from this angle but could be Volchenkov's stick blade got him in the knee there. I don't think the contact or hitting the boards was too significant. Body languange as he's sliding to the wall looks like he's wincing over that right knee and trying to favor it.

It looks to me like he took a stick to the groin and winched and favored that area. Hopefully just a bruised muscle/ tissue or something.

You know, you may be right there. Was so focused on the knee I missed that stick to the to groin. Wouldn't even need to be a bruise to cause a guy to leave the game.
