Cut a deal with them, take Nikky face & eat 1.0 mill per of his contract & away you go. You cant compare what he has done with the Kings & what he can do with a lot of other NHL teams. They have won 2 cups in the last 3 years, I think he is an upgrade in the 2nd & 3rd line on several teams. Get that salary down to 4.5 mill & dump a contract they can eat & do it.

People are overvaluing him bigtime.

Personally I don't think I'm overvaluing him so much as I would have no problem buying him out in 2 seasons. Best case scenario he turns it around and provides many things the Oilers crave. Worst case scenario he's an expensive bust who can be had for free right now.
