One battle in the war... Isles are still the team to beat in the metro...
I'm hoping they can shore up the D with a timely maneuver before the deadline... Also, getting someone who can crash and bang yet play 12 min a game for the 3rd or 4th line would be helpful... |

As Rick Dipietro also said, "Ow"
In all seriousness, pretty exciting game to watch nonetheless. |

MSG showed the Boychuk "trip" play rather well. Before he fell, the toe/tip of his skate got caught on the ice (in a rut or something); maybe trying to kick the puck and caused him to fall. His ankle nearly did a 180 because of it.
Fun game to watch. Finally beat the Islanders this season.
Why were the Islanders fans mocking Talbot? Don't you normally mock the other teams star player; not a guy that sits on the bench for 90% of the season? |

top notch, entertaining start to finish.... both goalies gave up 2 they want back ...
difference is our #1 is on the I R ..Halak like alot of goalies in reg season may not
be able to step up to play off caliber hockey & intensity where if u blink u lose....
Thank god we have a proven world class battle tested goal ..who will be fresh ,recharged , and in top peak form ...
great 4 lines when attacking ,youngish for playoffs on back line but Leddy & Boychuk will steady & guide ... no one to hold Halaks hand ... he is on an Island
no pun intended .... Good Luck ,hope if we meet its for the East Champs.....
Winner takes cup no matter what ... N Y deserves the cup in our area

Yeah, totally agree. Kreider arm was basically fully reached out to the side trying to just tip the puck away from him and his stick was just dangling. If Boychuck was skating east west, no way Kreider had enough leverage to actually cause him to fall. Boychuk fell because he tried to kick the puck and his skate came down sideways making him lurch forward. Kreiders stick happen to just be there for him to fall into, not because of.
Kreider actually said in the post game, I never touched him. Did he lie? Maybe, but I can't see why he would after the game was over and plenty of replays were available. |

It looks like Boychuk caught a rut in the ice rather than Kreider tripping him. Hamonic, on the other hand, wondering why he got called for tripping Zuccarello, when his stick was caught in Zuccarello's blade, was actually really funny. |

Do you purposely write like this to confuse people and do you watch hockey? You do know halak has played in the playoffs right? Jesus Christ what a mess. |

What was really funny was your first goal when stempniak shattered hamonics stick right in front of the ref then took the puck and passed it to Mcdonagh for the goal. |

Haha, yeah I loved the replay when he was like what did I do? And then it shows Zucc laying face first on the ice with Hamonic's stick pointing straight up stuck in his boot lol |

They unfortunately didnt show the hook immediately before the "trip". Come on you had two gimme goals like we had one. You won. Get over yourself. Incredible how every ranger fan was telling us how these regular season games mean nothing blah blah blah blah and here you all are. |

I think we're over it just fine. Its the Isles side that keeps bringing up this "trip" that costed the game. |

I don't think anyone said the refs cost us the game? Officiating certainly didn't help but poor defense and goaltending is what cost us the game. I thought these games mean nothing? Just stupid regular season games no? I guess that changes once the Rangers win one? |

Video isn't loading so I'm going to guess it happened before the video started. You can't say something didn't happen when 16500 people saw it, wrote about it, and talked about it. |

Not sure they mean nothing. But at the same time, not sure why you think it means everything to us either. We're talking about a controversial topic that every single person who mentions this game is debating. |

The first goal that McD scored? I saw 5 Isles players with 5 sticks in the their hand. Not sure I can even see where Hamonic was...I saw Strait and Martin in front of Halak trying to block the centering pass from Girardi. Stempniak didn't pass it to McDonagh, nor was he even involved. Moore forechecked in the corner, Girardi pinched deep and pickup the puck, went around the net and centered to McD. Not sure what your even looking at. |

I don't see anyone debating it besides you. Every one wants their team to get full accolades when they win a game. It was kind of like you guys saying the Rangers don't take the Islanders seriously that's the only reason why we win. Can't give credit where it's due. Like last time when 90% of your thread was saying it's a stupid regular season game and they mean nothing, yada, yada, yada, etc. That game was lost by us bcs of terrible defense and goaltending which I've said multiple times on here and the other thread. Your team had terrible defense and goaltending in the first and second and ours imploded in the third. Happy now? What else do you require a written afadavit to make it legal?
Not really understanding this? |

You saw them all with sticks bcs Hamonic went off stickless near the bench after he got slashed and his stick exploded directly in front of the ref and then Stemp took the puck. that's how the play started. |
