I like Brier on the Island. I think his personality will gel with everyone in that room and he can be an anchor for them in the playoffs. He always provides a big boost to a team he believes in when they need it. It would be a very smart move if they go for it in the next few days. I don't think it pushes them over the edge to being the Stanley cup favourite but if they get a great 2 way defenseman as well at the deadline that might do it for them so we will see. What a story that would be.

in theory briere to isles makes sense because hes a good 2 way forward...in reality, the isles have too many forwards to begin with. this is not happening unless there is a lot of movement which is certainly not anticipated.

Is Jagr on record saying he will only play in the east?

He has almost played for every eastern team and no western ones are ever strongly mentioned in rumours.

Eklund is also very diligent and checks on everything and waits until he gets the okay and go ahead to post a rumor or any names.

Would Jagr be a fit in Chicago now that Kane is down? I know he wants a shot at a Cup but still wants PP time as well as a big role. He can be a go-to guy in Kane's absence and if he can come back in time for the 2nd round of playoffs then who knows?
