Wideman and Russell each posted just one assist against Vancouver in four games, while Brodie was pointless. The Calgary blue line really wasn't a factor against Vancouver this year.

one could say that splitting the season series without having a huge strength for the flames could be a good indication for calgary

honestly, i don't know what to expect from either team. luckily my thoughts don't matter to the game and i can just sit back and watch.

Good blog Carol!

Hard to know what to expect tonight. This will be the first time this season that the Canucks play the Flames minus Giordano. I know they held serve without him in the lineup the rest of the way, but still something to keep an eye on.

It will be interesting to see how the Flames top line looks now that the intensity will be amped right up. I expect them to get a full dose of Matthias/Richardson/Dorsett as well as trying to defend against the Sedin's.

It's going to be a great series. The majority of the people that I have seen filling out their brackets have picked Calgary to win.

Off topic

With the firing of Chirelli there was talk on the radio today about would Benning be interested in LUcic and his 6 mil contract? I know most on here don't like him, but Benning does. I would definitely be for trading for him.

He couldn't be further wrong. I think both teams and fan bases respect each other. Neither team was significant for the last two years.

I know if Flames win , I will follow them and wish them the best

Yeah, the Flames are so young that CAL/VAN are still in the get-to-know-ya phase.

Exactly, I'm always perplexed when he writes this stuff that makes no sense.
