Love to know what people’s definition of “serious” hockey talk is.
The only people involved in serious hockey talk are team owners, GMs, coaches, players, agents, and other employees of professional and amateur hockey teams.
The rest of us deal in opinion and conjecture only; whether a person says our D-men played on their heels causing the opposing team to enter the zone without obstruction, a particular goalie played poorly, or if a person says Calgary smells like cow poo. Absolutely no (frank)ing difference.
If people want to have a dedicated discussion on topics THEY find worthy then I suggest creating your own thread allowing others to enjoy the Hockeybuzz experience on their own terms.
I find some posters constant praise of the flames and their fans annoying and disrespectful to a proud tradition that has been established here on hockeybuzz.
I’ve said my piece so some of you can get back to your regularly scheduled Flame knob sucking. Sorry for the interruption.

I've never been banned before so I can't relate.
Having said that, Bennet and Monahan are so handsome and strong. Calgary is a beautiful city and the people are awesome there, Flames fans in particular. Their mayor is so progressive. Have you heard the Flames cool brand new nick name that has never been used on any other sports teams before: The Cardiac Kids! Get it? Cardiac cause they give you a heart attack cause they always come back late in games. Any Flames fans wanna hang out? Dinner on me.
At least we know why he had some bad shifts last night.
