What do you guys think about Wiercioch?

Getting much better now. Used to make poor decisions in both ends of the ice and sometimes made a very soft pass missing a lot of velocity lol. Now, it seems like he's starting to grow out of that due to confidence. He looked great with Ceci at the end of the year and although they didn't play well vs Mtl in the first game, they both bounced back nicely afterwards. I think a lot of Wiercoch's play improved because he was paired with Ceci, who is similar to himself only Ceci is faster with less of an offensive upside (even though we all expect Ceci to grow into more of an OD considering his OHL numbers).

He was considered surplus to requirements at the trade deadline, but due to his confident play w/ Ceci plus being recognized by Team Canada, I can't see him leaving the team any time soon. His spot was supposed to go to Cowen, but he legitimately outplayed him for it. Cowen is a high draft pick and I think we will continue to try and get him in our lineup...but it should be at the expense of Grybe/Boroweicki going forward, not Wiercoch. I also have no idea how to spell his name and have been guessing this entire time.

it's because we forgot to tell both GMs that we had made the deal for them.

Apparently we didnt call back bc our other deal fell through to make the one with you guys work

Avs had to move out a dman first, we had a deal fall through with the Flames, sending them Hejda (he didnt want to be traded)

This is like the Kulikov deal that they didnt pull the trigger on and is haunting me

Its speculated its with us since they said that the mystery team never called back bc a deal of theirs fell through as well.

Since the Avs had a Hejda deal fall through as well, seems like a good possibility it was with us.

Still think he ends up on the Avs. McGinn probably going the other way

i don't think they'll trade him. he was very good the 2nd half of the year, and has long been a painfully underrated player. he's also on an excellent contract.

not saying they won't move him, but i think it would have to be a pretty damn good offer. don't think mcginn gets it done....especially since he's a UFA after next year.

I though Wiercioch was a UFA as well, didnt know he was an RFA. That sort of changes things. The draft is going to be crazy, GMs are going to be dumb moving picks around etc trying to get "I cant believe he was available at the pick" players.

Its going to be wild, I can see a lot of movement from teams who have multiple 1st rounders and teams who want to get back into the 1st round.

I think the Jets will be players at the draft. They are so close to being a real threat, have 2 1sts this year with an already solid prospect pool.

Dont be shocked if the Avs try to trade up for 10 to 6 to select Crouse. Roy has a chubby for him

No man lots of sens fans wanted him. Marner is really good one of those 3 I won't complain

I didn't mind tha Cowen was getting ice time and making mistakes. What I didn't like was who he was bumping into the press box, Patty Wiercoch. A guy who always deserved the ice time more than Cowen. Another guy in a long string of guys who the stats guys were right about and the guys who live ball tests were wrong about.

i only remember spatso................but it could be possible, as ottawa was pretty much pegged to pick between 8 and 10. if you get him there, then you're doing okay.

Pretty sure your blogger was talking bout taking him at 3 or something I can't rememeber! Weren't Sens bottom 5 around world Juniors? I think he will bust as well.
