The "Original Six's" 77-year strangle hold on the Stanley Cup finally ended 41 years ago today on May 19, 1974 when the Philadelphia Flyers became the first club other than those half dozen to win it since the Montreal Maroons did in 1927. It was a day I will never forget as I was there!

Is there some sort of requirement to dress horribly if you want to be part of the Flyers' management team?

I remember it well. The toothless shots of Clarke holding the cup were classic. Surprised they haven't won a cup since the 70's as they've had some really good teams.
