Does he get payed on a per article basis?
Trying to reason why he pumps out a continuous stream of nonsense.

No one will ever figure out Garth's motivation. He'll just keep dropping trou on the keyboard and we'll keep reading and commenting and hating and nothing will ever get accomplished. I don't even think he tries anymore. Oh well. Go Sabres.

McDavid is the shiny sports car while Eichel is the muscle car. Both are great cars, just depends on what's your style.

Given how much the NHL has been pimping the combine results it looks like they will be pushing this rivalry as the next Ovi/Sid (as they should). Too bad they'll only be facing off twice a year...

He battled through adversity and resistance resistance!

I'm dying here. Truly, soon Sabre fans are going to become Leaf fans or something if this keeps up! What's Garth's cringe score? Is there a combine for that?

Look... Garth is on here giving Sabres fans something to read about nearly on a daily basis because nobody else in the media will give us anything more often than 1-2 times per month. Honestly, IMO, we all come back to his blogs (the ones we like and the ones that drive us nuts) because we love the game and most on here like the Sabres and it fills that void for us all. If you don't like what he writes, then why do you keep coming back and complaining about it? What is the saying? Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Something like that, right? Don't get me wrong, Garth is a homer... but he's never hidden that fact either. Last year, he was clearly in favor of Sam Bennett vs Reinhart and, to his credit, he continued for a short while (post Combine) to define Bennett in a number of ways. I know it's only been 1 season, but after 1 year (again IMO)... I think most would have selected Bennett over Reinhart... but time will tell going forward and hindsight is 20/20 as well. I still believe Reinhart will be a good player, but I'm not convinced that he will be great. Bennett has far superior skating ability to Reinhart and showed he can already use that to his advantage in the NHL... Bennett will definitely be wearing a Flames jersey next season, Reinhart is 50-50 between Amerks and Sabres. I, personally, was enamored with Reinhart last year because I felt he did more to make those around him better... but I believe Bennett will be the better individual player going forward. Eichel and McDavid are both going to be great players... would you rather read articles of Garth pining for what he can no longer have (McDavid... who reminds me of Perreault) or sharing in the optimism that is Eichel and the fact that he is more NHL ready (in terms of physical maturity) right now? I see no crime in his built up optimism behind Eichel and I appreciate it, quite frankly.

Garth,

Please layoff on writing about Eichel for about 2 months. I'm sure many others are sick of you writing about him 2 times a day....can you try and write something about another player or players on the team...I'm embarrassed for you

Honestly, Garth should stop writing on this site and get a job for a high profile politician because I've never seen anyone spew more completely skewed and biased propaganda in my life. He could make a fortune writing political ads.

Sabres fans will never. While we may have Garth who writes a "blog" that the rest of the NHL fans think echoes the voice of Sabres loyals, the Leafs have thousands of Garth-esque fans who have nothing but the ability to troll the comments sections.

Unless you divide up these blogs within a blog into paragraphs, I am not even going to read a damn line of it.

Oh you guys have your fair share of crazies out there too, but like the fanbase sizes differ, so too the crazy totals. In fact, it's odd more of you guys don't call him out. I think secretly, you do a little "Teeheehee" after each blog, otherwise nobody would defend this abomination.

Point being, it's unfortunate (yet entertaining) that Garth is put in a spotlight. The most entertaining part being all the comments that follow. Teeheehee

70-80% of his body weight 16 times? That's really all these guys can do? I'm no way a gym rat but I keep fit and I've always thought that any guy should be able to bench his weight at least. I'm guessing their about 180lbs, so 80% of that 16 times seems rather pathetic IMO. I guess it's more about core strength though

So if your 200 pounds 70% is 135 ish. I agree I would think the kids could do more. I wonder what the lowest was on this?

I love how he said the physical play of the ohl playoffs shut mcdavid down. If 49 points in 20 games is getting shut down I can't wait to see what he'll do. It's hard to compare McEichel because the play two different kinds of game. Both have a ton of skill but mcdavid uses his speed and edges to beat defender while eichel is strong on the puck and a powerful skating. Based on how they play I fully expected eichel to "win" the combine

You don't have to buy a thing I'm saying... you're likely already broke from all the games you may have paid to watch your team underachieve with all the #1 picks a team can dream about in recent history.
