Jennings is better suited in a coverage 2 defense... darby never had safety help in the preseason..not sure if ryan did that scheme on purpose to test the rookie by fire or not..sure in the regular season he wont be in "darby island"

Prob the best draft spot this year. Two top WR or a top WR and guy like hill or Anderson.

EJ isn't in the conversation. Great game and all, you don't go from running the scout team to 1st string. TT is the obvious choice

I'm confused, though...outside of cassel you have a choice between two young quarterbacks, one has no experience as a starter and the other started 15 games under a lunkhead for a coach who's offensive coordinator was in way over his head...yet, without ever seeing taylor in a regular season game, and with his performance being a touch inferior to ej's, the 2-T bandwagon is overflowing with fans ready to anoint him as the quarterback to lead this team to the playoffs

He will be on "Darby Island" -if he plays outside that is and not in a nickel or dime set-. That's Rex's MO, so he can have 9 guys all over the field with a ton of different looks, sowing chaos, and just the 2 outside CBs in man. I'm sure there'll be over the top help once in a while, but as a rule his CBs have to cover man to man. You'll have Gilmore on one side, probably McKelvin when he comes back on the other with Robey at nickel. In the meantime if Darby struggles there's always Ron Brooks and Corey Graham could move back to corner, so it's not as bad as it looks.

That makes two of us. From what I've seen in game this preseason, not practice, EJ has been better. That sideline throw to Gray I believe(it may have been Gragg I can't remember. No matter.) over the corner and underneath the safety was beautiful.

Yeah dont like it either it slipped my mind. All players you mentioned all got scooped up in the draft haha

EJ, while lifting his play later in camp, has shown to be very inconsistent in terms of performance, and his accuracy. Watch his throws over the middle, usually late, not all, usually. Down the sidelines, poor accuracy most are out of bounds. That is what he has shown. Castle has been mediocre for 11 years..except 1.5 of them...both of which were years ago.
TT, nobody has seen before and what has been shown is better than both in terms of consistency...pretty steady.
Now, I still believe they need a new starter even with these 3... But TT this camp has been the best, most consistent.
