Tanner had a meltdown over this move from the Coyotes perspective and the Aves fans aren't jumping up and down like they just won the cup...odd.

No no, we are jacked but we know hes a bottom pairing guy. Excited that bringing in a new guy who has a legit chance of pushing one of Holden, Guenin, Stuart off the active roster and into the press box. Lots to be excited about.
Elliott was in Roys dog house and never would given a fair shake to leap frog those garbage pail kids. Gormley at least now has a real chance of taking that 6th spot |

I still find it odd for a team that was so weak on D, the knock on Elliott was that we already had one of him named Barrie. Ugh.....Barrie is slightly awesome. there are 3 pairings, why couldn't a second Barrie work on another pairing? I would love to see two Barries and less Stuart, Holdin, Guenin.
Either way, we have more depth now, and this is a good move. |

Honestly I think if Redmond didnt show he was capable of putting up points, Elliott would have had that spot.
I think Roy felt more comfortable with Redmond vs Elliott so that was the final nail in the coffin for him. |
