The guys on Leafs Lunch had some good points as to why there should be a couple spots for the young guys on the backend.

Hope they are right.

The leafs are having an awesome pre-season. The stats are outstanding.

Should be a good season. I can see the leafs challenging for a playoff spot.

If the points they made were:

Brayden is not a bust. 20G and 18G his last 2 seasons is not in any way a bust. People creamed themselves because he was good at the WJC's and believed he was something that he wasn't.

top 3 you expect elite talent (or 1st line anyway). top 10 you expect top 6 fwd or top 4D.
he's a 2C and a decent one, on most teams in the league.

I expect more than a top out at 20 goal guy with my 5th pick.

Kadri and Schenn are the only non top line/pairing players there and in a re-draft, most would take Kadri before him. So I'm sticking to my firm C cup level bustiness assessment.
