Some rough looking lines there. It'll be interesting to see who sits should Couts be ready to go tonight. Seems like Manning is gone and AMac, Schenn or Gudas will be the #7 at various times throughout the season, excluding injuries. |

Sandstrom seems like he's having a fairly good season for such a young player, and I'm glad he's getting into games with the senior team. Bill, how would you rate him compared to Stolarz when both were drafted?
Also, does Gagner have any clauses in his deal? I'm not sure it's been discussed at all internally, but theoretically, could they waive him if they wanted to an send him down? |

With Boston's injuries, I'm sure they'd love to add Manning for nothing. I don't think it would be a huge loss, but I'd rather pare down the roster some other way. |

As far as I know, there are no clauses in Gagner's contract. He can be waived.

Yup
I'd do one of three things:
Best case would be moving Vinny.
If that's not possible, I'd waive and demote Gagner, he hasn't shown me anything.
Finally, if they don't go with option 1 or 2, they could perhaps waive VDV, I think he would clear. |

VdV probably would clear. That's what I'd probably do.
Think the Flyers would trade Vinny for a 24-pack of dry water? |

how are you sure?
why do you think they do that when they have other internal options? adding manning does nothing to ease the loss of those 2 |

That's definitely who I'd sit. At least then we'd looking toward the future with our centers and line combos.

Bill Meltzer: Flyers Preseason Game Day: 10/2/15 @ NJ, Quick Hits - bmeltzer
Ganger/VLC/Simmonds
yow
Chicago rumored to be trying to trade Bickell with 2years left on his deal of 4M per year for Nikitin who only has one year left.
I wonder if the Flyers could make a deal with Chicago.
AMac for Bikell?
They'd never do it, they are trying to clear salary cap space. |

Won't let me quote.
I believe Gagner limited ntc was waived when he was traded 9000 times since he was traded before it kicked in or something or another. If he's waived I think the cap savings is negligible.
I believe if roster stays the same Tuesday Laughton would be sent down. I think Hextall and hasktol both appreciate Manning. |

And they are looking for expiring contracts they'd do Schenn for Bickell I'm sure but why in the world would we do that

OT - does the quoting problem seem to be an issue of first posting in the thread, then being able to quote someone? |

You think Manning is going to be #6, or they want to keep 8 D? Granted, I haven't seen all that much of him, but what I saw the other day against the Devils wasn't that great. |

I'd trade vinny for a 2025 7th rounder with a clause we only get the 7th rounder if he plays 50 games a season |

Yeah, I guess. Though, for the most part, he's looked better than Schenn, AMac or Gudas.

I read it, that's why I was wondering if there could be an opportunity for the Flyers.
It really doesn't work as both sides are looking to clear cap space.
I guess Chicago would jump at LSchenn for Bickell but that trade I wouldn't do for the Flyers. |
