makes sense to give mcann the night off. Could be a veteran though.
JV hopefully shows us as much as mcann has.

Bernier was already gone. Jones was the backup in 2014.

Justin Williams is a big loss.
Stoll and Regehr are gone too

I think it will be a fast and close game........I like your JV prediction. I bet he's chomping at the bit to play.

I think it will be fast, but because of that I think the Canucks win this one solidly, unless Quick does his thing. I think LA's problems are worse than people think and will miss the postseason again.
I am also expecting little from JV. First game after sitting a few, I can see him trying to do a bit much, maybe take a penalty or two. It'll take him a couple games to get into rythmn

I would guess LA's gonna try to be super defensive......or try and push us around......

With both, I hope we surprise them. From what little we have seen so far, (so far) we haven't taken any crap. We are not so slow either........but there's always the Pizza factor.

What the hell is this!!!! Second game in a row the Ducks have faced a stellar goaltending performance!
The Canucks kids are really good. Of course Horvat is going to be something special but I thought Sutter had a really good game, too. I was weird because I thought the Twins had a so-so game and usually when a team shuts them down you had a really good chance to beat Vancouver. That's not really the case anymore.

He played really well. Very surprised. I was not impressed with his pre-season and called him out for it but if he plays like he did last night then I'll be eating crow.

Sutter has been a pleasant surprise on that 1st line.
Nice to see scoring potential actually spread out over 3 lines.
This should allow Van to now have Sedins to get a different look with Sutter/Vrby/Burr, depending on need.
