Rinaldo once again showed that a few games of decent play can be overshadowed by a needlessly stupid hit. The hit might or might not be suspension worthy by the leauge, but the Bruins should consider suspending him just for being an idiot. So glad he's off the Flyers.

Nice win. After that horrendous 2nd period it was good to see the team bounce back with a very solid 3rd and OT. They can build off of this.

I don't miss Zac Rinaldo one bit and can't imagine why any Flyers fan would.

Three minutes Brett Connolly turned a horrific giveaway by Giroux -- who inexplicably tried a behind-the-back pass from behind his own net

That was one of the worst plays I've seen in G's career. And it was simply, in my opinion, done to avoid taking a hit.

Still amazed that Hexy got a 3rd for him.

One thing that I like about Giroux is that, if he's having a bad game, he has the ability to channel that and lead the team offensively. The Columbus game last year, the game against Washington where he scored in the 3rd and in OT, and last night are examples that come to mind.

Voracek made a great play with his body to shield and retrieve the puck on the game winner.

Del Zotto made a great play with his legs to earn the penalty.

Last year the team would have folded in the third. This year's team, while early, seems to have a little moxie to them. Maybe hakstoll was a good choice. Can't wait to see the Rangers game and how they come out.

I am really impressed with Umberger.. Again last night he was one of the dominant players. He made several very nice plays on both sides of the ice and set up Simmer with a beauty of a touch pass. Good to see him healthy and productive. Thats a huge bonus for this team.

Gotta give a lot of credit to Jake for both of G's goals. He kept the play alive and kicked it out to G on the first one (so glad G was smart enough to put it top shelf and not pull a Raffle shooting into Niemi's neck) and when he bodied that guy off the puck and got it over to Streit to set up the OT goal, that was a thing of beauty. Just need to put one in the net and I think he's ready to take off.

He has. I am waiting for streit and Schultz to pick it up. II know striet got an assist on the pp but at even strength that pairing hasn't been as good as I hoped. I think they have been week on the puck.

He's a menace. When are teams going to wise up and stop signing guys like this? He's useless and a disaster waiting to happen. I can't believe that this guy takes a roster spot from someone.

Bill does the rinaldo hit deserve a suspension in your opinion? if so why?

Agreed. I was pretty impressed with his mid-second period interview with Pierre, too.

Thanks Bill. The Flyers still can't put together a 60 minute effort. Good luck coach. However, a win is a win. Glad that Rinaldo isn't a Flyer anymore; I really liked his off ice attitude, however his on ice decisions were always in question. I hope that Coots recovers quickly. I thought that Neuvy received a blow to the head or neck from a stick. Too bad, that he couldn't pitch another shut out. I wish him well as well.
Could you give us the stats on faceoffs, and turnovers for the season? These two problem areas really stuck out in last night's game.
