Tanev's a great story of perseverance in the game. He will be one of those stories in the future of being cast aside so many times only to return and get better. You have to want it and believe it to succeed.

The fight in the first was great but the better fight happened on Twitter last night as Team 1040 Trevor Martin got into some b!tch slappin wih Brown to Bure Taj Paul Chapman Kuzma Pattrson. Lots of name calling , hair pulling and spitting.

Some will look at it as missed opportunity...others will see it as not giving up assets for a maybe Dman with only one great year behind his belt. Snow was most likely trying to manipulate the situation so whatever. I'm ok with keeping what we have for now there will be other opportunities at TDL.

The price for Hamonic will by high for Van, EDM and CGY. It's just a negotiating tactic so Winnipeg doesn't get him for nothing.

I think Hamonic's the real deal. Does everything Tanev does and is much more physical.

I would have been willing to give up Tanev plus a spare part - something like Grenier - but not a top forward as well.

And yes, it may all be posturing to try to get the best possible return out of Winnipeg. Is it still true that the only trade Chevy has made since the Jets moved to Winnipeg was the Evander Kane deal?
