Good to see Girgs getting some love from the coach. Now if only he could get on the scoresheet with some regularity. |

Bylsma has had him on the third line in more of a checking role...although, I agree, he should have more than 2 pts. |

I know. And he's played very well in that role. He's also had a lot of missed opportunities though. It's not like he's been hemmed into his own zone every shift every game. He's getting chances, just hasn't been able to bury any of them. |

They sure do. I keep telling myself that at some point their luck has to change and that the chances they get will start actually going in the net, but it just hasn't really happened yet. It's starting to get frustrating though, that's for sure. |

I know this isn't related and i apologize for that. Just wanted to say its nice that the more positive or at least constructive criticism seems to stay on this blog and all of the negative for no reason or basis seems to float over to Garth's blog. Helps me avoid it all easily. |

Good topic on Johnasen cong. My two cents on this is would love to have him but we seem set at center for the future. It appears to me that ROR prefers to be on the dot and you're not moving Eichel away from center either. That's the main reason why Reinhart is on the wing.
I would prefer they trade for 1st line LW. With Kane's injury history, I would prefer they go get a LW. They need a 1st line RW too. - mhp
Thank you sir.
I agree that they need both a top line LW and top line RW.
It is quite tempting to turn Reinhart into Johansen, if that were possible, and roll with O'Reilly, Eichel, Johansen down the middle, as it would mean you could move Girgensons to wing on the 2nd or 3rd line and watch the fun ensue. |

There aren't enough wingers as is, but you then want to put Johansen on the 3rd line? |

Eichel would be the 3rd line C until he is ready, at which point you just roll those 3 lines evenly, with a mix of the 4th line thrown in, while leaning more heavily on which lines are playing well on a given night.
It would not be as good as Crosby, Malkin, Staal, but it would still be damn good!
EDIT: Girgensons would be moved to wing and I think he would do very well there. |
