That first goal shouldn't have had a Kane assist... NHL stats are a joke. |

I'd like someone to go look at every Gretzky point when he got 200+, just to determine if in fact he actually touched the puck on those second assists he kept getting... especially in Edmonton... |

Would be good if McCann joined Canada too. Him and Virtanen would be a huge addition to the team. |

I thought Kruger interfered the other game too when Kane scored. Seems like they want this streak to continue because it's good publicity for the league. |

@ Kaptaan - The rules of assists states otherwise. Unfortunetely Boards/Glass/Posts/Stanchions don't count as the opposing players as no canuck had touched the puck between Kane to Panarin (shot) back to Panarin to Keith for a goal. I understand where people are a bit taken back by how he was able to get an assist, but you certainly wouldn't discount a player for bouncing the puck off the boards, making a pass, and not being credited with an assist. |

At least it isn't as bad as baseball with Sosa, Bonds and McGuire.
Really, I have nothing against the players, it was the league looking the other way and then acting like they were so innocent. The league with their publicity encouraged the roid use and then acted all shocked when it came out. |

Uh, yeah. Good trade for Vancouver.
Florida would not do this imo.
Edit, Bart and vrby would be a steal.
Sbisa and vrby would give me pause. But I never had a problem with the guy |

I don't think Florida would trade a young dman for two pending ufa's. JB might not want to trade Sbisa after signing him to that contract or we might have to eat salary and add more.
Is there any deals you see with Tampa? I think they might want a little shakeup. |

alright, thanks for that. it's within the rules.
Although, I still believe the NHL is pretty lax on giving out points or keep accurate stats. |

Promoting is okay. For me, I don't like the game management by refs when they choose to ignore stuff or want to even out pp opportunities between teams. or a team is trailing and they officiate like they want the trailing team to score and have the game go to ot.
If an infraction is a penalty in the first period and a pp leads to a goal, that same infraction in the last few minutes of the third should mean a pp opportunity late in a game.
The refs aren't deciding the game, the players are. Don't want to get the penalty, don't commit the infraction.
was just thinking, I think it was mentioned in one of the broadcasts, the Canucks were up there for most pp's- drawn penalties.... maybe I have nothing to complain about. |

What do you expect from a league that allows staged fights.
Canucks do lead in PP opportunities

yep.
I hate the fights off the face off where they are jawing and just drop the gloves when the puck drops. Should be an automatic ejection for both players. that would be proper game management.
The same with some of the stuff that happens after clean hits. |

Gudbranson is already a top 4 shut down guy and is young. Not happening.
Edit:but if it did, I would be increadibly stoked! Maybe an Edler/Vrbata package? |
