Glad they won and that it appears Schenn was awake for this one

Brayden Schenn had a hell of a game. I wished he played with that spunk every game.

I missed this one. Good to see some of these names pop up on the score sheet though.

Why they keep breaking Coots and Schenn apart when it always works when they're together is beyond me.

Ghost is good.

They both seem to play bigger games when together. LIke more physical and stronger on their sticks and seem to produce. I am ok with keeping Schenn if this is the Schenn we get.

Poor RJ...he used to be so much better. Too many years, to much banging and mucking and grinding along the boards. He is okay for about 7 feet and then the slowness of his stride kicks in....fortunately the play he was involved in last night was only about a 6 to 7 foot move to coral and pass the puck to the point.

Nice to see the Ghost back up on his skates and not looking like a deer in the headlights.

That 2nd line looked really good from the jump. Theory: B Schenn is more relaxed on the wing with a center who is a)big b)defensively away c)left handed. He simply has played better with Cooter than with Giroux.

Both Schenn and Couturier are at their best when they are physical. COuturier had a couple times he went at Subban. That's when he seems to play his best. When he is physical and has that edge in his game.

I agree. Those 2 seem to have good chemistry, but Hakstol continually seems to want to break them up.

I really hope it's not the case, but I have a feeling that he would rather break up his scoring lines to help create balance across all 4 lines (i.e. "get the VdV line going") as opposed to having 4 lines playing different roles.

Exciting game to watch from the start. Had me worried at the end. Really loves how ghost responded. Didn't have the best play in Cali trip and even got a little banged up in this game, and responds with that laser goal. I love it. Kid already knows to have a short term memory for bad play / bad games. Can't believe Giroux shot the puck right at goalie's glove when he was alone in front of net. Wish he snuck that shot top left stick side. If Schenn played like he did last night more often I'd gladly offer him an extension after this season

Good win guys. But, don't plan any parades....Habs are a steaming pile of dog poop right now and probably couldn't beat an egg into an omelet. Still. Take the win and build on it. The Wild card spots are still in sight and there for the taking...

Macinnis wasn't a giant, but he was 6'1" 205, that is way bigger than Ghost.

Phil Housley was one of the better, smaller D-men of his era. Could really pinpoint the shot. Definately under 6 feet and 200. I would guess 5 10 and maybe 175 or so...

Schenn did work well with Giroux for a while too.

Dan Boyle in his Tampa hey day had a 20 goal season and he's listed at 5' 11", same as Ghost.

So does Dan Boyle, actually. I was expecting something along the lines of 5' 9". Maybe they just look smaller as players today are much bigger, on average, than in the past.
