Good write up: objective approach, no dumb pun title, no gushy plaudits, a lack of egregious grammar, serious tone...I enjoyed the honesty for once....did you use a guest writer? Kudos to you Garth if this is your baby....

Dunno, Kane clanged one off the pipe, split the Chi. D, nice pass to set him up (I believe by ROR) beat Crawford, maybe a different game if that one goes in.

Sabes are def a work in progress, operative term: progress. Lots of young talent, but still some holes and on the job training for Eichel and some others.

I would be patient. As hard as that is.

I agree garthy, time for a swap or change of middle of the road players. Package deal to get any body who shoots at open net not the goalie

Kane will break through I feel like. Too many posts and effort to say he isn't trying or isn't getting to the right areas. The one last night, he had Crawford down and out and hit the post. If half his posts had went in this year I'd bet he has 20 by now.

Let's face it, GMTM has been woefully inept at building a good roster.

He jettisons Flynn and Mitchell for next-to-nothing and they are playing big roles on the playoff-bound Habs. Meanwhile, our bottom 6 is terrible.

He acquires Kane and Bogosian, two players Winnipeg couldn't wait to get rid of. It hasn't taken long for us to see why.

Anybody could have drafted Eichel. Reinhart looks good, BUT was he the 2nd best player in that draft??? I don't think so. Draisaitl, Larkin and Bennett all look better.

He did well on the O'Reilly trade for sure, but completely wasted a 1st round pick in the Lehner deal.

Darcy needed to go, but GMTM isn't proving to be any better.

Blackhawks are the model! Several down years, great drafting, a little luck(hope those pong balls go the Sabres way this year) and the fruit is amazing

Most Sabre fans not panicking. The rebuild is right on track. Just need to keep the course.
So far so good...except for the ridiculous Lehner trade.
The Moulsons and Giontas are just here temporarily.

Sadly, I have to agree. I've been troubled by his drafting, (didn't take Barbashev) and his willingness to overpay when trading. He has given away so many young pieces and picks, and has O'reilly to show for it.

Maybe Fashing will be good, maybe not. I am not at all impressed with Kane or Bogosian, and the Lehner trade always seemed insane.

Maybe i am overreacting (being a terrible team for so long tends to breed that), but I think we need a better GM.
