It has to be a little less fun, when the choice isn't going to be between McDavid and Eichel, but it's always somewhat fun knowing you are going to get a potential star player.

Bennett didn't only score 4 goals, he scored some really pretty goals that night. That top-shelf 3rd (I think?) goal was so nice.

It's a weird feeling this year. I for one won't be rooting to tank. Not even that much of a purpose anyways, with the new lotto rules. I'm going with the 'fall where they fall' approach. I just hope this team shows up next year with a better and more experienced line up, and I think that begins with retooling the defense.

interesting note about reinhart--the supposed "set-up man" has more goals than assists...he's been working on his shot and it's developing into a doozy

Good the top guys in the draft succeed Draisaitl too. Many mentioned that it was a poor talent draft compared to most. Also read an article about Del Colle and that wouldve most likely been our vanek pick if they wanted to keep their McEichel draft 1st..
FYI Del Colle is struggling for someone with that talent

It's so funny how Eichel is so endeared to the community and Sam is overlooked. I think it will come around for him. His game certainly has.

More fun for me. Last year was desperation/panic to get one of Eichel/Jesus, this year it's more of a bonus than necessity and we don't need to finish dead last so winning also isn't frowned upon like last year.
