From last blog, aint happening. Girgs is more valuable here than in a trade, Stamkos is Toronto bound or staying in tampa.

I wonder if they can get a 2nd 1st this year if they trade Bogo.

VERY YOUNG top4 defense is worrisome, although we won't have to move Bogosian right away so that could help

That 3rd line is scary though
Chances are that some of those guys will work out, but how long till they're good enough to compete with NHL 3rd lines?
It will likely be a huge hindrance for the next couple seasons, at least

If we could keep Girgensons is feel A LOT better about our forward depth
And I like Ennis too
So if we could move Fasching for the defenseman, that's my 1st choice. Then Ennis...
But I really think a 3rd line of Kane-Larsson-Ennis would dominate

I'd still go after Stamkos & try to find a way to make it all work though
Hopefully he's sign for something like 10mil instead of 12

That's my point, not that he's a high valued player. You'll get more value for him in the lineup for 60 games a year than you will if you move him. Girgensons and a 3rd wont get you anyone who is capable of playing those top pair minutes with risto long term.

Over the past 2 days I've heard both McKenzie & Dreger say that they doubt Stamkos will want to sign with Toronto bc he won't want to waste 3 years on a team rebuilding in his prime

That might disqualify us as well, even though we are further along than the Leafs

I just don't see anything that makes me think he'd consider buffalo over Tampa or Toronto. Both on and off the ice.

for my money, if I were soupy, i'd stay in fla if possible...got a good young team, plus...plenty of older people with vein problems
