It was a good game, and I'm okay with NBC not televising it nationally. McDavid scored 22 seconds in and then had the game winner, he's great, but I really don't want to listen to every hockey fan in the world telling me how much better he is than Eichel.

I've never really bothered to get in on the debate. Connor is pretty special, and we're very lucky to have him. I won't gloat too much

But I also know that eichel is so good. Strong on the puck, elite top speed and a world class shot

Was sitting behind the net that McDavid scored on. Risto just let him blow by and it was an incredibly weak shot on net that Lehner HAS TO save. Unacceptable.

Bogosian was awful all game as was Gionta and Girgensons. Foligno not much better either. Been saying this for weeks. Was even more evident on the ice.

Pysyk played a great game. Eichel had a few flashes but was otherwise not very good. Not saying he's bad obviously but he's been on a wicked cold streak.

That pass from Reinhart to C O'Riley was INSANE. Need more of that from him.

This team has some of the worst puck awareness I've ever seen. Multiple times they didn't know where the puck was or weren't in the right position. At least three times each by Girgensons and Gionta....

I doubt they'd make a selection at 8 at their own draft. They either pick high or trade it. Im good with either

I think it is REALLY important, they stay in the top 3 of the draft this year. There's a few guy there obviously that will really go along way towards filling out this roster. If they drop to 8th ............it's a huge missed opportunity IMO.

3. a few guys that have been here a while have under performed instead of getting better

No they're terrible because they have one offensive line and three lines that mix of mediocre offensive flashes and strict defensive forwards. Pretty sad when the best player not on the top line was Catenacci. He was flying all over the ice and had the biggest hit of the night. As far as I'm concerned he deserves a full time call up at least an indefinite one. Ennis and O'Riley being out and no more McGinn has really shown the deep weaknesses this team has.
They also have a lack of physical defensive defenceman who don't just stand there while speedy small guys skate around the,
