After we cap of the rebuild this summer it is going to make it very easy to be a fan of this franchise. For what the base has gone through the last 3 years (this last year not as bad as earlier), that will be a very very welcome change. |

miller comes in second for almost every big game, hence silver
- homiedclown
did I forget about him in the rookie scoring race? |

mcdavid will win the calder, and I am fine with that - homiedclown
Nope. Its another facet of the Oiler curse.
"No Oiler rookie shall win thy Calder."
It is pretty much gospel. Personally I'd give it to Ghost. |

McDavids PPG is pretty awesome. I was positive Panarin was untouchable but... looking like a very different story now. |

So fun to watch these rookies play the way they are. The future looks very bright. Glad that my 2 year old runs around screaming "hockey" and one of his first words was "Eichel" Glad he gets to grow up watching him and Sam. Can we get a good "connection" nickname for those two? |

McDavid or Gostisbehere should win, and Panarn would be third so Eichel doesn't even get nominated |

Every time I read these blogs, I just can't believe we have someone like Eichel to watch for the next decade. |

Or that Eichel isn't in any of the rookie scoring race category. |

What always gets me is how easily we could've lost him. Those goals by Toews, the Atkinson goal, etc. What an incredible gift we received for losing games. It's so strange.
But having said that, we've got Eichel, and I can't wait to hear the NBCSN guys drool all over him all night. It's great! |

McDavid should win handily. And I'm beginning to think he actually might
Gost second, Panarin third. But the fact that there's any debate whatsoever is ridiculous. McDavid is a generational talent. No one else in this class even approaches that status. No disrespect to the next tier of kids (Larkin, Eichel, etc), but it's true

Im actually pretty suprised of his G to A ratio. Thought he would have more goals for sure. Same can be said for Samson, thought he would be more of an assist guy.
I agree that Connor should win. Top 3 IMO should be McDavid, Eichel and Ghost. |

That rookie hardware is hardly as important to me as the franchise's future.
So what I'm paying attention to, instead of the rookie point race, is the number of amazing young bucks that are rocking swords on their sweaters. |

I think he will for sure.
It's hard to say what they base it off of though.
Individual stats?
Impact?
Team record?
I mean CHI without Panarin is probaby in the exact same position. EDM is last either way with or w/o McDavid. Larkin and Eichel probably have the biggest "team" impact. The Sabres without Jack are probably 29th or 30th again. I would like to know exactly what they look at to determine it. Not that i care about the award what so ever. |

YES! And hearing that multiple teams wanted Nelson and he decided to come here. It looks and sounds like the young talent is buying in to what the Sabres are doing and that is a good thing for the organization, the fans, and the future. Hopefully FAs feel the same way! |

Personally I couldn't care less who wins the rookie scoring race. BUT lets not forget that McDavid is playing with a lot more scoring talent than Jack, Personally I cant wait to see how they compare to each other when the talent gap is closer.
All that being said I'm thrilled we have who we do.
