nope...I don't think him signing with a team will have anything to do with who holds his rights....except for tampa, who'll need to pony up if they want him to stay

Agreed. I feel like if he wants to hit FA he's going to . If you trade for his rights you get the chance to talk to him first but I don't think he's going to sign with the first team he talks to unless he already knows that's where he wants to go.

Was thinking yesterday that if the Datsyuk rumors are true, which is a big if, he could really go there and have it all. Winning team, shot for a cup, money, close to home. That'd be scary.
