Excellent blogging this year Todd ! Hope you're back next year.
Finally the Flames goaltending steals one! 4th or 5th pick is not much different IMO. Go Dallas !

Thanks Todd. I'll be watching for your Flames blogs once we get into draft lottery territory.
I'm going to take a break from hockey, myself, for about a month. I don't care about the playoffs-- except to see if Dallas can do well enough to get us a first round pick for that Russell trade. |

My focus is now on the 4 playoff pools I am about to embark on starting tonight. Calgary will be a distant memory until April 30th, the draft lottery. |

How did Kylington and Sielloff play? - cpltanto
Kylington looks like an NHLer. Made a few mistakes but his skating and creativity is fun to watch. Not sure if it's next year or the year after but he'll be on the Flames IMO.
Seiloff looks steady good positional player. I could see him filling a depth role right now.
Certainly no reason to keep some of the over priced vets around with the solid core of young D. |

Good to see backstrom go out on top. I can't wait for this summer , get a high draft choice, probably sign a scoring winger or two, and getting a bona fide number one goalie, should be a fun summer! |

This is going to be good next year if they can target one of the Ducks Goalies or even Bishop if Tampa wants to move for cap reasons. I think they should bring back Ramo to backup or go after some other fringe backup that is hungry. I only really see one hole with this team, an maybe more speed on the wings, but it seems they almost have a team ready to challange for the Pacfic. |

They have there top 6 already, they will sign depth guys an hope young players stay the same or improve to fill out the top 6. Its just the Goalie they will go after. |

Their*
And no we don't; Shink won't be on the team to start next year. We've had a vacancy on the top line since the Hudler trade. |

That sounds reassuring
On top of these 2, there is also Wotherspoon in line as well
I think it's time the team gives at least 1 spot for these young guys to fill
