Pretty sure Geno said himself that he loves Pittsburgh the city & the organisation & hopes to get more Stanley Cups with them - but I realise this is a rumour! Why leave a team that just won the Cup & will have every chance to go back to back?

i dont believe the kings and blackhawks have the cap space for a Malkin contract. The wild are almost a cap team themselves

Moving malkin makes no sense as an islander fan he is such a great player and your team just won the cup with him.

Also from a cap space argument who can afford him that he would go too? I doubt he will accept a trade to NJ,AZ Calgary or any other team that finished near the bottom. The teams he would go to cant afford his cap hit or dont have the pieces.

GMs who budgeted the cap well are going to rob cap strapped teams this year but players with no trade i doubt will want to go from playoffs to lottery teams

I only ask because I'm hearing dribs and drabs about it. I think it's a tad unfair of EK to post this less than 12 hours after the guy lifts the cup, but I definitely think Florida is looking to move Huberdeau and I think Malkin is who they would target. I think the vision of a Malkin-Barkov-Jagr line, even if only for one season, is something a lot of people want to see.

I don't think there is anything to the Malkin talk. The only way I see the Pens trading him is if they get fair value. How do you get fair value with Malkin? You do not in a cap league when Malkin can dictate where he is willing to go
