Thanks for posting the press conference. It will be an interesting couple of weeks with the draft followed by free agency. However, I think next year will be even more interesting if Hexy can manufacture more cap space, etc.

Next year Striet, Shultz, VDV, Pebs, MDZ are all UFA. Only MDZ if the price is right should come back. Read will have one year left and may be ripe for a buy out if he doesn't improve this year. That could be $10, - $13 mil not counting MDZ either gone or more cap hit.

He's also said that skill is more important, that they're taking the best player available. There are other guys who are skilled and big, like Michael McLeod, Tage Thompson and Riley Tufte, projected by many as being close to or better than Jones & Gauthier. It's not really hard to go to Central Scouting or McKeen's or look at Button's list and add more names
