Tertyshny was pretty well liked and left a lasting impression, even in such a short time.
Glad to hear his wife and child are doing well! |

9 am, Monday.
It may leak prior, but they don't have to submit anything to the arbiter until the hearing.
The hearing starts at 9 am Monday, unless they come to terms prior. After the hearing, a decision will be rendered within 48 hours. |

Holy cripes...that story...poor kid. Imagine his teammates on the boat too. What a situation.

Sadly those boating accidents are far too frequent. My parents were friends with another couple whose son died in similar fashion. He fell over and his friends went back to get him but unfortunately ran over him cutting him with the propeller. |

So, E. Kane is clearly a dumpster fire at this point. I would have wanted a trade for him prior to the latest screw up. But I wonder if we could get rid of MacDonald's contract for him now. I know I just contradicted myself, but at the right price it might be worth it. |
|
|
|
His latest arrest is miniscule. The altercations with the women who knows what will come of that? Kane will stay in Buffalo. Murray will be getting pennies on the dollar trading him. Might as well play him and hope he bounces back. |

Kind of surprise the Flyers are interested in a two-year deal. Make him a UFA at the end of the deal |

Those numbers are most likely what is filed to the arbitraror, which iirc has to be done 48h before the hearing. The numbers of the 'real' negotiations are behind closed doors and probably looks quite different regarding term. |

Pretty simple. Meet in the middle. 4 years, 5M AAV.

Might be just me but sounds like Schenn doesn't want to agree to term without a higher salary. His opinion of himself must be thst he will continue to improve and earn bigger contracts in the near future |

If correct, the flyers don't see him as a 5mm player.
Mostly because he isn't.
4.5 MAX and even that would be a terrible deal for the Flyers. |

Or he realizes he is only going to get one pay day and this might be it. |

Those numbers are the offers from each side to the arbitrator, who can only decide on a one or two year contract. |

I'm aware. Just from everything I've seen seems like Schenn camp wants more money for term and less for short term. If that's the case you'd assume he believes he's going to get better |

Not necessarily true. A negotiation between a player and a team is a compromise. In submitting arbitration figures, the team is going to submit a figure on the low end of what they think the player is worth, in hopes of gaining extra cap space. Arbitration is not a compromise.
4.5M for Schenn would be a great deal for the Flyers. |

An arbitration case can only be for either one season, or two.

Like every 24yo ever. So I'm not surprised about Schenns interest in a one year deal and not two. He's UFA-eligible next season right? |
