I can't see Ottawa protecting a 30+ year old methot over a 22 year old ceci..........who arguably, while he doesn't have the same chemistry with karlsson, is probably already a better player. other than that, agree 100% with who you chose. |

So you hesitated between Jaskin and Paajarvi and decided to not include Paajarvi anywhere while both protecting and releasing Jaskin? |

Question about Sheary's omission, and I know you don't like responding to us so maybe someone else can clear this up. Sheary played professional hockey in 2014-2015, but wasn't on an NHL contract. i was under the impression that all players with more than two years experience in professional hockey were eligible for expansion. Am I wrong? Is it actually players with more than two years of professional experience under an NHL contract that are eligible? Is Sheary exempt because he wasn't on an NHL contract his first year as a pro? If so, that's pretty nice. Losing Rust or Sheary wouldn't have been a huge deal but it would have sucked. This way the only WB5er exposed would be Kuhnhackl and I highly doubt he'd get taken over Eric Fehr. |

He's made a bad decision for about every team. Cool idea. Poor execution. IMO |

In what world does Ottawa protect methot over Ceci?? Ceci is younger, better and has loads more potential while methot is reaching the end of his career... |

Kind of a mute point right? If we go 7-3 I don't see Sheary being more desirable than Pouliot. And I don't see sheary being more desirable than Horn/hag if we go 4-4 (or if we protect hag and trade horn than Wilson/Rust). |

As of right now the Flyers will be protecting Manning but once DelZotto is resigned it will be DelZotto instead of Manning.

The Blues played the Penguins?
Also, unless he has a breakout year, I see the Flyers protecting Raffl over Cousins. Even if he does, they would probably put one of Laughton or Cousins there over Raffl.
Also, they may have to expose Manning to meet the 40/70 requirement, in which case they'd protect someone like TJ Brennan, unless Del Zotto is resigned. |

The pens trade Flower or Murray before the expansion draft. There's no way one will be available free for Vegas.
These are cool posts. Great idea. |

Ryan Wilson you haven't given proper reasons or how you arrived at who you keep and who you expose to LV. Especially when it come to Pittsburgh, your analysis is poorly made and not explained well.
No chance in hell that JR would let MM go to Vegas and protect Fleury regardless of his contract status. I would give Fleury away for nothing to any team no on his limited NMC to. After all, he carries the highest cap for 3 more years.
And protect Rust? That's stupid, period. Polliot yes Rust no, unless Polliot shows that he doesn't belong on the roster. |

Manning is the guy the Flyers will HAVE to expose to meet requirements...I highly doubt they just decide to let MDZ walk either |

With respect to the MM/MAF situation, he did mention that Murray or Fleury will be moved prior to the expansion draft. However, his analysis is done using the rosters as they stand at this moment.
It's a little fantasy draft, ease up. |

Someone didn't read the perimeters of the thought exercise...
Also we need to protect 7 forwards to begin with and anyways Rust is currently more important to the Pens than DP. DP is on bust watch right now. If he doesn't show anything next year, you'd want to protect Rust over him anyways. |

I can see a team taking Sheary over Pouliot if DP doesn't show much this season and Sheary improves. If the draft was tomorrow and their choices were Sheary and DP, it might be 60/40 in DP's favor. That's fairly close. |

If they have more than two years of pro experience yes. So if a player was coming off their third year of ELC, yes they'd need to be protected. |
