Ryan Miller won the Hobey Baker, he played for Michigan State for 3 years. Paul Kariya played for Maine for 2 seasons. Wouldn't call those guys busts.

To be fair, fans can only rely on what the media gives us pertaining to Vesey, and all we have heard is that playing in his backyard may be too much for him to handle. On the flip side, you have the other half of the media saying he wants to be "the man", but judging by his interview with Joe Haggerty he looks like he is afraid of his own shadow, so I'm not sure a big stage like an original six team is best for him. Fans will be fans, but media is paid to get facts and report it, unfortunately I feel some just like to stir the pot.

kariya played one season at maine. and it was amazing. he came back for his sophomore year but left to play in the olympics for canada and then did not return to school.

He's currently finalizing his contract with Buffalo. Came down to Boston vs. Bufffalo - Krejci is a good center, but is also 30; eichel is not 30
